Hot Toys' Figures of the Year 2013
It is near the end of 2013, Hot Toys has released a number of figures this year which fans loved and sought after. This year our Founder & CEO Mr. Howard Chan and our Hong Kong Production Team have chosen the same figures for their Favorite Figures of the Year! Let’s take a look and see which ones they picked!

Howard and Production Team’s favorites of the year:
1. The Dark Knight Rises: 1/4th scale Batman Collectible Figure
2. The Avengers: 1/6th scale Mark VII Collectible Figure
3. Terminator 2: 1/6th scale T-800 (Battle Damaged Version) Collectible Figure
The Dark Knight Rises: 1/4th scale Batman Collectible Figure

Howard: This is our first 1/4th scale human character collectible figure and we’ve put in lots of effort in this product, so we are really glad that the end result turned out very well from the large amount of positive feedback we received. This project sets an example that Hot Toys is able to create phenomenal collectibles in different scales!

Production: The success of the 1/6th scale Batman collectible figure from The Dark Knight Rises has helped us become even more proficient for the production for the 1/4th scale. The bigger scale size has also allowed us to enhance the precision and fine details for the figure. The likeness of the head sculpt, the body’s articulations, and details of the accessories have all been pushed to a new level for products of this scale.

The Avengers: 1/6th scale Mark VII Collectible Figure

Howard: Despite the numerous and complicated parts the Mark VII contains, our production team was able to keep the high quality that Hot Toys always valued highly in the final product and let fans witness Hot Toys’ exceptional skills in creating robot collectibles.

Production: The Iron Man Mark VII was made with over 300 parts and pieces. Its structure, design, and painting have also been improved from the past! With the various interchangeable weapons and battle damaged parts, the Mark VII is more than just for show and reminds fans that Hot Toys’ collectibles are wonderful action figure that you can display and play.

Terminator 2: 1/6th scale T-800 (Battle Damaged Version) Collectible Figure

Howard: This final product has lived up to many fans’ expectation for the collectible of this iconic character and shines in quality. It also proofs Hot Toys’ 1/6th scale collectibles won’t be overshadowed by products in bigger scales.

Production: It was not an easy task to add a moveable light up eyeball in a 1/6th scale head sculpt. Furthermore, achieving a good result for the battle damaged costume and the production of the T-1000 statue were also obstacles we needed to overcome for this figure’s creation. However, we are very glad to hear fans’ great feedback for the final product of this figure!

All of Hot Toys’ figures were created with great effort and we hope fans are able to enjoy the products as much as we do. Which one is your figure of the year? Please feel free to share your thoughts with us and fellow collectors! Happy New Years everyone!
